Although most commonly associated with assistance to employees, such as assessment and counseling services, EAP’s offer a valuable benefit to the NASA organization as a whole. These include employee and supervisory training services, educational health and wellness workshops, crisis intervention services, and organizational development services.

The provision of these services contributes to a more healthy and productive workplace where employees feel valued and can more effectively meet their responsibilities. This is measured by improved employee retention, decreased health care costs, absenteeism, and workers compensation claims, as well as overall increased organizational productivity.
