2007 HealthierYou Campaign Description
NASA Office of the Chief Health and Medical Officer (OCHMO) provides guidance and oversight to approximately 400 Occupational Health professionals in order to create a network of support for NASA employees. In the last two years, OCHMO has introduced the 2005 and 2006 HealthierNASA. This year, 2007 HealthierYou promotes the same message of Personal Accountability for Health and Safety by enlisting a variety of tools.

Campaign Components
  • A 12 Month "calendar" where each month provides a health topic, introduces a health question and a health activity. The calendar includes an online interactive at-work health awareness journal.
  • 2007 HealthierFeds Physical Activity Challenge
    OCHMO accepted the challenge and has enrolled all NASA Centers to participate in the 2007 HealthierFeds Physical Activity Challenge from January 22 - March 18, 2007.
  • Mayo Clinic EmbodyHealth Newsletters
    Monthly Mayo Clinic newsletters are distributed to all Centers. To access these newsletters contact your Center Clinic.
  • Mayo Clinic EmbodyHealth
    Mayo Clinic EmbodyHealth is an online service purchased through the Mayo Clinic for the purpose of health promotion for all NASA Civil Servants. The site will include a Health Risk Assessment, Ask an Expert, Diseases and Conditions, and Healthful Recipes, to name a few. To access the site, NASA Civil Servants will require a unique identifier to register. This service will be available January 30, 2007.
  • Influenza Vaccination Drive
    The Influenza Vaccination Campaign is offered annually at all NASA Centers. Contact your Center Clinic for more information. Campaign begins in the October/November time frame, each year.
