Telemedicine
NASA has been involved in telemedicine since the early days of the space program. Telemedicine, the integration of telecommunications, computer, and medical technologies, permits NASA to monitor the physiological and medical impact of space flight on astronauts. Across the agency, different organizations are investigating telemedicine technologies and applications.
